Test Engineer (Orange County, CA) This position performs varied and complex assignments of the Test Engineering function for high speed SERDES, DRIVER and Microwave devices. The candidate is expected to design and develop test procedures and assist in the evaluation of the test equipment. Hardware Systems Design Engineer (Calgary, Canada) This position is with a leading developer of integrated global positioning solutions utilized in industries such as aerospace, agriculture, construction, mining, defense, remote sensing, survey and timing. This growing client has an opportunity for a Hardware Systems Design Engineer for their Calgary, Canada design center. Relocation assistance offered. The Product Development team integrates receivers into OEM products to provide customers with an enhanced level of features that allow for reduce development times and quicker time to market. Sr Power Electronics Design Engineer (Raleigh, NC)
Seeking a self-motivated, hands-on electrical engineer to design power electronics for LED based lighting products. You will work within cross functional groups consisting of marketing, engineering and manufacturing to research, develop, design, qualify and introduce component and integrated component products and systems into production. Responsibilities will include support of product introduction, on-site technical support and development of new approaches to LED drivers. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, sustain and improve LED drivers, power supplies and control systems for general illumination products.

Sr Mechnical Design Engineer - Raleigh, NC

As a member of the LED Lighting, R&D team, the R&D Engineer will support leadership in a wide variety of solid state lighting products including modules, lamps and fixtures. This primarily requires working with other engineers and technicians towards execution of a variety of stated goals within a hands-on lab environment. These goals are sometimes only reached through a large number of experiments, each one needing proper guidance and execution. The engineer will guide some of the work while executing on a variety of tasks. Further, the engineer will be responsible for bringing new capability to the lab. This may be in the form of newly purchased equipment, modifications to existing equipment, as well as building some homemade setups.

The Engineer will interact with a variety of other teams including the following: SBTC, chip fab, components, LLS product development, and LLS operations. Further, the successful candidate will interact with external vendors and customers. Some travel, both domestic and overseas, will be required.

ASIC Verification Engineer (Member Technical Staff)

• Perform ASIC verification for large, complex high-speed ASIC’s for next generation of networking products.
• Responsible for block and fullchip/multichip verification

Responsibilities
• Develop detailed test plans, block and system-level test benches and verification environments; execute and achieve complete coverage to ensure first working silicon.

Staff RFIC Design Engineer
As Staff RFIC Design Engineer you will perform RFIC circuit design, optimization, and worst-case analysis. This includes schematic capture, design documentation and layout review using Cadence tools. You must be disciplined and able to follow established design practices. This person will interface with design team in San Jose and San Diego so must be an effective communicator.

As a key member of the RFIC team, you are required to have a MS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the following areas:


RFIC design environment within the semiconductor industry

Experienced in full-custom RF CMOS, or BiCMOS wireless communication circuit design at transistor level. Key important blocks include LNA, Mixer, VCOs, and PLL/Frac-N, T/R switch, on wafer Balun.

Transceiver design experience both in direct conversion as well as low IF with actual design experience of each method’s implementation trade-offs and design limitations.

In-depth knowledge of RF layout practices and optimization of RF passive elements such as Inductor and varactors.

In-depth knowledge of RF device physics and device models

In-depth knowledge of parasitic extraction of layout, package and PCB and its circuit modeling

Proficient with Cadence tools.

Experience with RF circuit characterization and bench testing and hands-on experience with your own critical layout is a must

System knowledge of different Radio transceiver topologies is a plus

Experience with AMS mode simulation and substrate noise analysis and simulation is a plus

Have executed RFIC designs that are currently in production is preferred

Principal Communication Systems Engineer
This position will be responsible for system engineering of digital communication products. This individual will determine technical requirements, propose, analyze, and select solutions, create specs, and work with others to implement new products. The scope of technology will primarily encompass PHY and MAC layers but will also require excellent understanding of upper layers.
